The website started off as a small hobby website to provide work at home advice and links to quality work at home job boards, however that all changed on December 31, 2008, when the owner of the website was laid off.

He was working as a Director of World Wide eCommerce Sales for a software industry leader and had just increased their global online sales nearly 50% ($4.7 Million) in one year.

The layoff came as an unexpected blow, however it was exactly the wake up call that he needed. He realized that working 60 to 80 hours a week, including weekends, barely ever seeing his family, all in the name of breaking all previous sales records to ensure job security was a moot point. Even with OUTSTANDING performance, you can still get laid off.

With few job prospects available, he started working full time from home by finding work on freelance job boards and working on his own online businesses. He loves working this way as he gets to choose the projects he wants and no longer has to work 60 to 80 hours a week just prove his worth.

Without the one hour commute to and from the office every day, and simply being right upstairs, he gets to see his family so much more now. He loves all the time he has with them now, gets to run more often and is only working 6 to 8 hours a day now...and NEVER on the weekends!

With all his extra free time, he decided to turn Work At Home Jobs.org into the industry's first work from home job aggregator, pulling in all the freelance jobs available online. His goal is to help as many unemployed people and stay at home moms and dads as possible to find the work they want and need.
